Bhuneer Portal Registration – Step by Step Guide
If you want a CGWA NOC, you must first register on the Bhuneer Portal. The process is very simple and can be done online through cgwabhuneer.mowr.gov.in. Below I am explaining everything in easy language.
User Registration on Bhuneer Portal
To access the Bhuneer app / Bhuneer portal, registration is the first step.Follow these steps and refer to the image for better understanding
1.Go to Bhuneer Portal (cgwabhuneer.mowr.gov.in login)
2.On the homepage, click “Register Yourself”(Other options like Only for Department Use and Forget Password are also there)

New External User (Register)
After click on New External User (Register), User will redirect to External User Register –
①Enter Mobile
②Enter Email
③Enter PAN No
④Click here to Submit
OTP send to your Mobile Number and Email Id.
After submission, User will redirect to OTP Verify.

OTP Verification
An OTP will be sent to both your registered mobile number and email ID. Enter the OTPs in the respective fields and click Verify.

③Click here to verify
After successful verification of Mobile and Email Id, User will be redirect to next page:

Create Password
After successful OTP verification, the user will be redirected to the password creation page, where a secure alphanumeric password must be set.
①Enter New Password here
②Enter Confirm Password here
③Click Here to Submit
After successful creation of password, User will be redirect to Login page.

Login to Bhuneer Portal
After completing registration and profile setup, users can log in to the Bhuneer Portal using their Email, Mobile Number, or PAN Card, along with the created password.

④Click to External Login
After successful login, User will be redirect to User Profile page.

User Profile Setup
After logging in for the first time, you will be redirected to the User Profile page. Fill in the required details carefully and click Save Changes to proceed.
① Select Applicant Type
② Fill Name,Email,Phone No.,Address
③ Click Here to Save
After successful login, User will be redirect to User Profile page.
Fill User Profile details.
Click on Save changes button to proceed

Company Profile Setup
Once the User Profile is saved, you will be directed to the Company Profile page. Enter all company-related information and click Save.
①Enter Email/Mobile/PAN Card
② Fill Company GST No.
③ Fill Company PAN No.
Click Here to Save
By Clicking save the Profile got saved and a Pop up Appears

Login Again to Bhuneer portal
By Clicking Save, a successful message will be appear.Now User have to login again in to the Bhuneer Portal using their Email, Mobile Number, or PAN Card, along with the created password.

CGWA Bhuneer Portal – FAQ & Registration Guide
Q1. Is CGWA NOC mandatory?
👉 Yes. CGWA NOC (No Objection Certificate) is mandatory for all industries, commercial users, mining, and infrastructure projects that extract groundwater. Without a valid NOC, CGWA penalty will be imposed.
Q2. How to get a CGWA certificate?
👉 To get a certificate:
- Visit Bhuneer Portal
- Complete Bhuneer registration (enter mobile, email, PAN, verify OTP)
- Create Bhuneer login password
- Fill User Profile & Company Profile
- Apply for Fresh Application and submit required documents
- Download CGWA NOC from the portal after approval
Q3. What is the full form of NOCAP?
👉 NOCAP means No Objection Certificate Application Processing System.
It is the online system of CGWA Bhuneer portal where users apply, track, and download their groundwater NOC.
Q4. Is NOC required for borewell?
👉 Yes. If a borewell is used for commercial, industrial, or housing project purposes, a CGWA NOC is mandatory.
❌ For domestic and agricultural use, NOC is not required (as per CGWA guidelines).
Q5. What is the limit of groundwater extraction?
👉 As per CGWA guidelines:
- Industries using less than 10 KLD (10,000 litres/day) get lifetime exemption but must maintain a logbook and install a measuring device.
- For more than 10 KLD, NOC from Bhuneer CGWA portal is compulsory.
Q6. How much is the CGWA renewal fee?
👉 Renewal fees depend on the category of industry and water usage.
You must log in to CGWA Bhuneer portal or CGWA login (cgwa-noc.gov.in login) to check your applicable fee.
